INESC-ID

INESC ID – Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores: Investigação e Desenvolvimento em Lisboa is a private, non-profit institution, founded in 1999, dedicated to advanced Research, Development and Innovation (R&D+i) in the fields of Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering (CSE+ECE). Holding the status of Public Interest, INESC-ID is an Associate Laboratory of the Portuguese Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education since 2004 and is jointly owned by Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) and INESC – Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores.

INESC-ID is organised into four Thematic Lines, which serve as unifying themes for making the most relevant contributions to current societal issues:
